A Lesson in White Men’s Prayers

A CNN headline reads today, “The Supreme Court said Monday that a Washington state school district violated the First Amendment rights of a high school football coach when he lost his job after praying at the 50-yard line after games,” (CNN Politics, By Ariane de Vogue, Tierney Sneed and Devan Cole). How utterly ridiculous and vile do grown, white men look that they are praying to their Divine Maker over a high school football game? Does the absurdity of that scene not sum up the complete idiocy of our Nation today?

Here’s some prayer ideas for all grown, white men to consider instead:

How about you pray to your Divine Maker for forgiveness around choosing to make sports so much more important than your own integrity.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker on why you refuse to control your ejaculation, the gift you were given, and instead scapegoat everyone else to cover for your lack.

How about you pray pleadingly to your Divine Maker to overlook you childishly blaming and harming everyone else for what you do not want to do — -control your ejaculation.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker about why you are so consumed in fear that you feel you must carry a gun in case you deem your fearful self worthy of taking life.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker for forgiveness in remaining complicit to children dying in schools because you want to pretend you will be a hero with a gun one day.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker for forgiveness around your choice to ignore being responsible for your own integrity and instead lying, denying, and blaming others for why you cannot uphold it.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker for forgiveness and mercy around your complacency because you are too scared to not go along with others.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker for forgiveness and mercy around your cowardice to step out of the way when you know you are wrong.

How about you pray to your Divine Maker for forgiveness around hating the strength of womxn, the very divine essence of your Maker, and your choice to control them so you do not have to rise to Her level.

(Do not send me a ‘not all men.’ If I know you, I’ve already given you that pass. If I don’t know you, go get it from the women in your life.)
